Meditation Script for the New Year and Beyond

Guided Meditative Script:  affirming, meditative,  calm.

Allow yourself to arrive fully in this moment.

There is nothing you need to do…nowhere you need to go…nothing you need to prove.

Just be here.

Begin by noticing your breath—not changing it, not controlling it—simply observing it as it is. Each breath moving in…each breath moving out.

Imagine your thoughts like leaves floating on a slow-moving stream.

You don’t need to follow them. You don’t need to hold onto them.

Just notice… and let them pass.

If the mind drifts, that’s natural. Gently and kindly bring your attention back—to this moment…to the breath…to a sense of quiet presence.

Silently, repeat to yourself:

I have done enough.

I am allowed to rest my mind.

I trust the wisdom I carry.

As this year comes to a close, imagine it settling gently behind you—not as something unfinished, but as a chapter that has shaped you.

All the experiences…all the lessons…now part of who you are.

There is no need to carry forward every worry or concern.

Some thoughts can be set down here. Some expectations can soften.

Now bring your awareness to the year ahead—not as something that demands change, but as open space.

Time to move at your own pace. Time to choose what truly matters.

Time to begin again, gently.

Silently offer yourself these words:

I meet the future with steadiness and calm.

I honor my needs and my limits.

I remain open to moments of joy, connection, and ease.

Rest for a few breaths in this feeling—a sense of trust…of continuity…of quiet confidence.

When you’re ready, bring your awareness back to the room.

Notice the sounds around you…the support beneath you…the feeling of being right where you need to be.

Carry this calm and self-trust with you—into the rest of today…and into the days and year ahead.

Take another, unhurried breath…and gently return to your desired state of wakefulness.
